Energy in Lanzarote
Lanzarote imports more than 90% of its energy, in
the form of fossil fuels. To reduce Lanzarote's dependence on
oil, we claim for:

Substitute fossil fuels used to generate
electricity and for transportation for renewable energy sources
such as solar, hydroelectric, biomass, wind, geothermal and
hydrogen.

Encourage the State and the Government of the
Canary Islands to allocate significantly more Research &
Development resources for innovative, small-scale, diverse
and dispersible technologies, rather than large-scale,
centralized projects.
